heaviest stuff is off the coast and pushing into ocean county. they are in southern montgomery county and bucks and southern delaware, chester county and philadelphia away from the active rain. might see drizzle in some of the places. there's cloud cover up to the west of us, that's going to break up. we'll transition quickly to partly sunny skies. 49 degrees in philadelphia. this is the other part of the story you step outside and you can feel how much nicer it is temperature-wise. in allentown 47 a couple of spots down south holding on to the 50s. a spotty shower around between 6:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. east of philadelphia. 47 is the 6:00 a.m. temperature, 48 by 8:00. comfortable in that cooler part of the morning. 57 degrees by noon, a high of 60 and we'll hit this around 3:00 p.m. and then back down to 52 by
6:00 p.m. winds are light today. better numbers coming as we head toward the weekend and in through the weekend, matt pellman. details coming up. >> reporter: wind is light this morning, traffic is light, as well, which is a good thing because we have a few issues out there, including an overturned truck in salem county. the action cam was on the scene southbound lanes of 295 in pennsville exit number 1. it was carrying metal, you saw the metal all over the roadway. as the cleanup continues the left side of the road is closed heading toward the delaware memorial bridge. the good news you can see that the speeds are not too bad stay to your right as you head toward the dmb in new cattle county. in tucker town we have a downed pole blocking off route 9 bygif.
burlington bristol bridge open at 5:30, head to the turnpike connector bridge instead. westbound vine is open on this thursday morning. a delaware driver has a lot to be thankful for after being rescued from this tangle of metal the action cam was on the scene in wilmington. police say the driver was going east when he lost control and slammed into that tree. as you can see the crash nearly split the truck into two parts, the driver is recovering at christiana medical center. what caused the crash is under investigation. parents at one philadelphia school are outraged and scared they want to know how and why a second-year-old got needles into her second grade class. let's go over to and she's got
more. good morning, annie. >> reporter: good morning, tam, five students went to the hospital after they were stuck with needle after a child brought them to school. the district sent out letters to parents, but parents say that's not enough. >> she was chasing us. >> reporter: with the needle? >> yeah. >> reporter: what did you do? >> i ran. >> reporter: did she get you? >> no. >> reporter: we are not showing the face of this child after he was taunted by a student chasing them with a needle. >> this is not nothing to play with, this is needle. you don't know where the needles came from. >> reporter: the school district is investigating how the second
grader got ahead of the dangerous objects. >> reporter: did they have anything in them? >> we don't know that. we know that it came from a child's home. >> reporter: yesterday an wednesday, four of the five students that were taken to the hospital did return to the classroom. annie mccormick channel 6 "action news." >> thank you, annie. the reward has doubled in an effort to find a person who threw a severed pig's head at a mosque in philadelphia. mayor nutter announced a two thousand dollar reward for information that leads to an arrest and conviction. last night peta added $2,000. delaware valley received new citizens at the delaware county media courthouse.

new york fairly quickly this morning. as we look outside we have plenty of clouds behind the rain. those will be with us for the next couple of hours before we break sun back into play. 49 degrees in philadelphia. the other big story weather wise is the milder air. we talked about it yesterday, it's not going to be as cold as the last couple of mornings. places like reading it feels good. 49 degrees by trenton. 48 degrees in wilmington, currently. and 52 in cape may. similar numbers in dover and atlantic city at this early hour. so there's the satellite view and the radar view of the rain showers popping through, they will be pushing toward the east of us and push away as we go through the morning commute. out to the west you'll start to see holes open in the clouds, eventually we'll transition to partly sunny skies. future tracker 6 by 9:00 we'll see the sun come back, by 1 or
2:00, a fair amount of sunshine and few fair weather cumulus clouds hanging around. 56 is the high, winds are light. down the shore, 60 degrees is the high partly sunny, light winds. in philadelphia we'll go for a high of 60. partly sunny winds light out of the southwest at 6 to 12 miles per hour. here's how the numbers will climb. we're starting out at 8:00. 48 degrees, 53 by 11:00. 59 by 2:00 the high of 60 around 3:00 p.m. 55 by 5:00 p.m., as late as 5:00 p.m. not bad. where is the cold? santa has it up in the north pole. we have a mass of cold air building. a decent snow pack, as well, supporting the cold air. the ridge in the jet stream is building back even stronger over the next several days. into the weekend we'll not have to worry about the cold air.
we'll get warm air shooting up the coast that will make a difference for us. friday only two off the record, we'll tie the record on saturday and sunday, probably beat it. the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast, pretty nice numbers overall, today's high, 60. still on the mild side sunshine coming back pretty quickly this morning. nearing a record high on friday with the 63 two of the record of 65. record territory saturday if we hit 65 we'll tie the record. nice weather for the army-navy game. 3:00 p.m., 63 degrees. that's a nice football forecast. record warmth for eagles fans on sunday. if you're sitting on the sunny side of the stadium you might want to peel down to a t-shirt. 68 degrees is the high in the afternoon, that would smash the old record of 65. still looks mild on monday, the

i guess i never really gave much thought to the acidity in any foods. never thought about the coffee i was drinking having acids. it never dawned on me that it could hurt your teeth. my dentist has told me your enamel is wearing away, and that sounded really scary to me, and i was like well can you fix it, can you paint it back on, and he explained that it was not something that grows back, it's kind of a one-time shot and you have to care for it. he told me to use pronamel. it's gonna help protect the enamel in your teeth. it allows me to continue to drink my coffee and to eat healthier, and it was a real easy switch to make.
